Cookies and similar storage
What Preppi stores in your browser, why, and how to change it.
Version 2026-10-26-1. Last changed 2026-10-15.
What we store
Necessary, so Preppi works (no choice needed):
- Your login. It keeps you signed in. It is set by our own site, and lasts until you log out or up to about 13 months.
- A sign-up cookie that carries your age group and your agreement from step 1 to your new account. It lasts 30 minutes.
- Your cookie choice (see below), so we do not ask again each visit.
- On the live test, a copy of your answers on your own device, so they are safe if your connection drops. It is stored on your device and sent only to us as part of the test.
Your settings and small memories, kept on your device
Preppi remembers your sound, motion and colour choices, and which numbers and milestones you have already seen, in your browser's own storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
What is optional
A small page-visit counter, which tells us how many people open each page. It records the day and the page only: no name, no account, no IP address and no device details. It stays switched off until you press Accept in the cookie banner.
You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
Other companies
We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If you choose to sign in with Google, you are sent to Google's own page and Google sets its own cookies there; see Google's policy. Our database and sign-in provider, Supabase, handles your login for us.
Fonts are served from Preppi itself; nothing is fetched from a font company when a page loads.
How long each lasts
Login: until you log out, or up to about 13 months. Sign-up cookie: 30 minutes. Cookie choice: 12 months. Settings kept on your device: until you clear your browser's storage.
